Welcome to the American Rose Society's Pacific Southwest District Gold Medal website. The purpose of our website is to provide educational information relating to the cultivation and exhibition of the rose, creation of floral arrangements and dissemination of information to District rose societies. Whether one is an experienced rose grower or new to the hobby, there should be something here for everyone interested in the rose. The primary focus is to function as a hub for events occuring within the District and relate to conditions here in the Pacific Southwest. There are articles and links that cover a variety of issues in addition to links to local societies. We have a number of consulting rosarians that are willing to answer questions. New information is added on a regular basis so check back frequently. Rose show results and calendar information is posted when received. To see what's new, click on the "Latest Updates" button above then you won't miss a thing. District Objectives are the encouragement of amateur and professional rose horticulture while increasing the general understanding of and interest in all aspects of roses, such as growing, hybridization, exhibiting, judging and history. Further, to improve the standard of excellence of the National Floral Emblem of the United States of America for all people.
